What Yakima says about Theisen
Theisen has been in Yakima since 1947, so the reviews come from more than one era of the company: customers who dealt with Sam and Dennis, and customers who have dealt with Ryan and Lacey Cyr since 2023. Some people wrote a single line. Some wrote a page. We have left every word as it was typed.
The three ratings on the right come from three different places and three different groups of customers, so they are stated separately. We have not averaged them and we have not added the counts together. Each quote below is a five star review, copied exactly, with the reviewer's own spelling, including the people who wrote “Thiesens.”
The rebate review
“Ryan and his Team at Theisen Heating have been a pleasure to work with. From diagnosing issues on short notice, providing very competitive bids for a furnace replacement, and then doing what they said they would do when they said they would do it, it's been a pleasure. But beyond that, even after money was paid and the installation completed, the Theisen Team navigated the power company maze to submit and then RE-submit the Power Company's rebate process -- which meant I will get a check for $2,000 as a rebate. This refund would not have happened without their help, as the initial claim was denied. Theisen went above and beyond and I could not be happier. I will definitely call them when I need help again and highly recommend their service. Nice work, Ryan!”
In their own words
A selection from Google, Yelp and Angi. The source is named under every quote.
“My hot water heater went out 1 day before vacation. Owner Ryan came out, gave an estimate, got the crew and electrician out same day. How accommodating and efficient service. Great job”
“It's a Saturday night after 9pm, temps of 100 all day, so spent it in the pool. came inside for the night to realize house temp was 77 and ac unit not turning on. After a quick phone call, 15 mins later, Ryan was here and fix ac to blowing cold air in under 5 mins. Thanks so much for not making our night miserably hot!!”
“Love Theisen! They have been our guys for 33 years!”
“Contacted Theisen for a check up and discovered I had a fire hazard with my original heater. They came out and replaced both that and AC professionally, on-time and within budget. Highly recommend!”
“We called 5 other places , our A/C died at 3 in the afternoon and the earliest anyone could get here was in the morning. But Ryan said he would swing by if he could finish his project early. He did, and he came over and fixed us up by 5. Very professional experience.”
“Only gave them 5 stars because there weren't 6!. Our AC quit during the very hottest week of 2021 (109-115 degrees). They were able to come the next day and replace the fan. VERY REASONABLY priced and VERY FRIENDLY people. Love this company! S.Schell”
“great, I have used them for 23 years and am glad his son will take over and they will continue for many more years to come. They not only do repairs and come right away but they maintain the unit as well.”
“My family has used Theisen for years and always appreciated their service, but a mid-winter system failure really let Ryan's crew and partners shine! Every part of the removal and installation was orchestrated with professionalism and courtesy. I absolutely trust Theisen and recommend them highly!”
“My air conditioner quit working yesterday afternoon, called Ryan at Theisens early this morning. He had his technician Eric show up on time at 1, he was professional and had it fixed within 20 minutes. Prompt, professional, reasonably priced. Highly recommend this company. They will be who I call when I have to replace my unit. Thank you guys!”
“He was excellent. They are a small company and are very professional. If he cannot repair it, he will tell you. He is fast he gets in and gets the job done. The price was excellent. I have not had any problems with the furnace since he repaired it.”
“Thank goodness for Theisen. They rescued the sale of my house after my oil furnace failed. Subzero temperatures were expected, but Theisen was able to get a new furnace ordered, installed and working in time to avert a crisis. Prompt, efficient and professional service has always been their hallmark.”
“I used Sam and Dennis at Theisen for the 25 years I lived in Yakima and was hesitant when I found out they sold it and retired. I was right to stick with the new owners, of course they would have sold it to good people. My A/C unit went out and I had to replace everything on a Friday of course. The new owners not only got it done by Monday but let me use a plug-in unit for the weekend. It was 96 degrees inside, so I was very grateful. The new owners treated me good, were very respectful and so were their employees. They have my trust in return.”
“Prompt service. Called on Friday here on Tuesday. Dennis and Sam were very professional. I was impressed with their knowledge and their willingness to explain everything as they worked. Their vacuum truck was an awesome piece of modern equipment. Price was exactly as stated on Angie's list. Left the laundry room cleaner than how they found it.”
A plain note on the numbers
Google shows 5.0 from 83 reviews as of October 2026. Angi shows 5.0 from 29. Yelp shows 4.5 from 16, which means that on Yelp, not every review is five stars. Every quote on this page is a five star review, so the quotes show the good days. The ratings above show the whole picture on each site, which is why we put the ratings first and the quotes second.
Review sites also keep reviews for years. Some of the Angi and Yelp reviews were written while Sam and Dennis still owned the company, and they are included because the business, the office number and many of the customers carried on after 2023. Many of the Google reviews name Ryan, Lacey and the current crew.
If you have worked with us and your review is not here, that does not mean we passed it over. It means this page is short and the review sites are long.
If you want to add yours, the three links in the ratings panel at the top of this page go straight to each site. Tell the next reader what broke, how quickly someone showed up, and how the final bill compared with the quote. Those are the details the most useful reviews here have in common, and they help your neighbours decide faster than any star count.
What the reviews keep saying
Read enough of them and the same few things come up. The first is speed when something breaks. Niki P. had Ryan at the house 15 minutes after a phone call on a Saturday night. Jimbo Shepler called five other companies before Ryan said he would swing by, and the air conditioner was running by 5. Susan S. had a replacement fan the next day in the hottest week of 2021, and Paul K. had a whole new system by Monday, with a plug-in unit loaned for the weekend.
The second is price. Nicki G. wrote that the price was excellent. Susan S. called it very reasonable. Joe S. said the price was exactly as stated. Dave Johnson called the work on-time and within budget.
The people behind the number
The third is that customers use names. Ryan is named again and again, and so is Lacey, who runs the scheduling. Reviewers also write about the crew by first name: Eric, Michael, Zach and Jesse all show up in the full lists on Google. Longtime customers write about Sam and Dennis, who owned the company before Ryan and Lacey took over in 2023, and several say they stayed with Theisen through the change.
The fourth is help that goes past the install. David Eldred's rebate claim was denied the first time, Theisen resubmitted it, and the second submission meant a $2,000 rebate check. If you are replacing a system, ask about rebates when we bid the job.
This page is a selection, not the whole record. The full lists are on Google, Yelp and Angi, where you can read them without our help.
Reviews are one kind of proof. Here is the rest.
A rating tells you how other people felt. It does not tell you who is licensed, how long a company has been around, or who will pick up the phone. So here is what we can state without a reviewer speaking for us. Theisen started in 1947 as a furnace cleaning business in Yakima, and the trucks in our archive carried the number 4787, the same digits as today's office line. Heating and air conditioning repair, new systems, ductless mini-splits and furnace and duct cleaning are what we do now, out of 1014 N 34th Ave.
Theisen Heating A/C & Furnace Cleaning LLC holds Washington contractor licence THEISHC778J5 and electrical licence THEISHC77815 for HVAC and refrigeration, both active through April 2027. In 2024 the company received the Horizon New Dealer Award at the GENSCO and American Standard dealer meeting. Most of the installs on our project showcase are American Standard equipment.
Before you call, it helps to know what the system is doing: the noise it makes, whether it blows warm or cold, and how old it is. Those few facts let the office set the right kind of visit, a repair or a replacement bid. If it is a replacement, ask about the power company rebate while you are at it. We do not normally service gas fireplaces, and we would rather tell you that on the phone than send a truck that cannot finish the job.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on weekends. We serve Yakima, Selah, West Valley, Ahtanum, Moxee, Naches, Parker and Wapato.
